I began my HSE career in 2010, initially focusing on the environmental field. Like many safety professionals, I relied heavily on self-learning—online searches, trial and error—without a clear strategic direction, believing this alone would be enough to build strong knowledge and skills.
At the time, I held a common misconception:
“If everything is available online, why should I pay to learn it?”
That belief changed dramatically when I was forced to change jobs. I quickly realized that my self-taught knowledge was fragmented, shallow, and disconnected from the core principles of the profession. I clearly remember avoiding technical discussions, unsure of my ability to contribute meaningfully. Those uncomfortable moments became a turning point in my career.
In 2015, I made a decisive commitment: if I were to practice any aspect of HSE, I would master it—no matter the effort required. From that point on, I also vowed never to shy away from technical discussions again.
Today, I am among the few professionals in the Middle East to hold globally recognized certifications such as CIH, CSP, and CFPS.
Throughout this journey, as an Arabic speaker, I became increasingly aware of a critical gap: the lack of high-quality, technically sound Arabic resources in the HSE field. That realization led to the creation of Infinite HSE—an initiative built to elevate the profession and redefine professional development standards across the region.
